Like most studio jewelers, I have a passion for tools. I think this passion began while watching and learning from my dad, who had a tool and die shop in the Pacific Northwest where I grew up.
     Dad was always inventing something to make a job easier and felt that he could make just about anything. He took the mystery out of "making" somehow, as if anyone could build anything they dreamed of if they put their mind to it, and, if they had the right tools for the job.
